The location of the hotel is on a fairly steep incline near the base of Mount Tapyas. Sounds inconvenient, but you wouldn't have to walk it from/to the hotel since they have a shuttle tricycle that would pick you up or take you to your destination within Coron Town. This provided shuttle has turned this rather basic hotel into a very desirable location where you can have peace and quiet, away from the busy and noisy streets of Downtown Coron. The room was basic but comfortable and clean. Despite the air-conditioner showing its age (slightly loud), it worked well and kept us comfortable at all times. The bed was equally comfortable. We slept very well throughout our stay. I became quite ill on our last day, and the house-keeping promptly changed all the beddings to make sure I was comfortable and well-rested! I was so thankful for that. What was lacking in amenities in this hotel, the level of commitment and excellence in service by the staff more than made up for it. Whether the ladies at the reception, the staff at the dining area, or the tricycle driver, every single one of them went above and beyond to make our stay at the Ridge a memorable one. We look forward to staying at The Ridge again when we're back in beautiful Coron.

We checked in earlier than 2 pm, but we were given a temporary Mountain View Room absolutely FREE of charge! WOW! My girlfriend Margie and I were very impressed! EVERYONE, from the following employees: Diane, the Marvellous Manageress(!) Zinnia the S-E-X-Y Supervisor! Trinny, the Fantastic Front Office Clerk! Judith, the Charming Chef! Juvelyn, the H-O-T Housekeeping Head! Esme, the Culinarily Gifted Cook! Paul, the Proud Pinoy Housekeeper! Jonard the Pretty Pinay Housekeeper! Maricris, the Precious Housekeeper! The rooms were both spotlessly clean! The WiFi was upgraded on Saturday 2 nd September 2023, an hour after our arrival! We LOVED the unlimited tea🍵, coffee☕ and juice during breakfast! The bathroom had a hot water💧geyser! Fantastic! The "Seaview Room," number EIGHT actually had a panoramic view of the sea! ALL the employees pay attention to every minute detail! They take pride in their work and they're all trained to respond to guests' needs and solve problems on time, and fulfill the guest's reasonable needs! Amazing staff led by Miss Dazzling Diane! Please keep up the good work! Excellent customer service! We will definitely return to your beautiful hotel! Margie loved the facilities too!

The room was very clean. I had a fast Globe 5g wifi connection in my room. Download speeds averaged 25 - 30 mb/ second. The staff was excellent and very attentive to all my needs. The food at their restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. The staff always said hello sir with a big smile anytime they saw me. All the front desk ladies were very nice. The night guard Arthur even took me to the rooster/cock fights. I had been wanting to see a live rooster fight for a long time. Arthur was great and very helpful and friendly. I had a good time there at the rooster fights.. He also got me a private boat one day. All the employees went out of their way to please me and make my stay very enjoyable. All the maids and cooks were very nice and hospitable to me. The veggie pizza was awesome!! They have a great cook as well. The people who own this place really run it well. I can't think of anything really negative to say about it. The air conditioner and hot water in my room worked great. The hotel provides a free hot and cold water dispenser as well as a good tasting free breakfast with coffee every morning. The place was spotlessly clean. I had a fantastic stay.

Amazing stay!! Stunning views, felt super relaxing and peaceful. Amazing friendly staff with big smiles. It is a 2 min tuktuk ride from the bars/restaurants/shops etc, the hotel offer a free tuktuk any time you want it to take you to take or pick you up as it’s on a steep hill - very convenient! Comfy bed, good aircon, nice breakfast (we lived the pancakes). The only thing the hotel is missing is a lounge/comfy area e.g with bean bags where you could chill and have a drink. There is some seats but not super comfy ones. Thank you so much ridge hostel I would recommend you to everyone who stays in Coron! Waking up to the morning sunrise of Coron having breakfast was amazing!!

Astonished! Thats the only word that I can describe on this hotel. Its not a typical hotel unlike others that when you go out a crowded nor busy streets already. But a chirping of birds, sounding of winds and most of all the breathtaking view of Coron Island. It is also a plus factor the two sunny side eggs on your daily breakfast and unli brewed coffee. Haha 😅 In addition, I would recommend the staff for giving their positive attitude, good vibes and welcoming aura it seems a very genuine behaviour. Truly, an excellent and a quality customer service. I would definitely recommend and stay here again soon! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ -Skie Felisilda
